Special Requirement: Writing Sample
The creative writing program is open to students of all abilities and writing backgrounds. The emphasis will be on providing a positive, rigorous, lively environment in which to learn the fundamentals of writing short stories, poems, and one-act plays.
The intent of this class is to give concentrated attention to each student’s natural ability. This is a program to foster the imagination and build the self-esteem necessary for success in all future writing projects, both personal and academic.
Registered students are asked to submit a one page writing sample (poem, story, lines of dialogue, or an essay). The sample is solely for the purpose of familiarizing the instructor with the student’s writing.
