Violin Instructor– Casey Bozell
Casey Bozell received her Masters of Violin Performance at Northwestern University, studying with premier Portuguese artist Gerardo Ribeiro. She is currently an active orchestral, chamber, and solo performer in the greater Portland area. She holds positions with the Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet Theater, and Linfield Chamber Orchestra, and has played frequently in the Eugene Symphony, Columbia Symphony, and the Vancouver Symphony in Vancouver, WA. Her orchestral experiences have led her to share the stage with such dynamic personalities as Regis Philbin and Marvin Hamlisch, as well as musical great Yo-Yo Ma. Casey is a regular performer in the Portland chapter of the nationally recognized chamber group Classical Revolution. She has been invited to perform solo guest artist recitals at the University of Northern Colorado and Eastern Oregon University. She has been a featured chamber player in the Astoria Music Festival and Oregon Coast Music Festival and serves on faculty at the Young Musicians & Artists Camp in Salem, OR and the Gold Coast Chamber Music Festival in Los Angeles, CA. In October 2010, Casey made her debut as an orchestral soloist with the Linfield Chamber Orchestra. Casey has a constantly growing violin and viola studio, as well as ten years of private teaching experience. She is currently the violin and viola instructor at Concordia University in Portland and Corban University in Salem. Her students have participated in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Oregon All-State Orchestra, and have won scholarships to the University of Oregon school of music. Graduates of Casey’s studio are still performing in Denver, Chicago, Boston, and across the Pacific Northwest.
