A refund of tuition (not including the deposit) will be made to any student canceling by April 30, 2012. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds of any kind will be made after April 30, 2012. Non-refundable tuition cannot be applied to another session or future YMA summer program.
PROGRAM ATTENDANCE
YMA is a residential performing and visual arts program. Students are not permitted to live off-campus and take classes during the day. Students are only permitted to leave the program on Visitors’ Day or for a family emergency, with permission from the Director of Student Life. All students are required to remain at the program until the completion of the final performance.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
Students must be registered before they can receive a financial aid application. Completed financial aid applications must be received by April 30, 2012. Notification of financial aid awards will be mailed after May 18, 2012.
Financial aid is awarded on a competitive basis, taking into consideration the following three factors:
- Financial need of the student’s family
- Proficiency of the student in the major artistic area
- Needs of YMA to strengthen sections or departments after regular enrollments are completed
Every applicant will be given due consideration when financial aid is awarded, but because of the number of applicants, not every applicant will receive funds.
SOLOIST APPLICATIONS
If you are interested in applying to perform as a soloist for YMA 2012, please contact Galen Cohen for information.
